Open blank page on startup (address bar has focus)

In the “On startup” section of a profiles settings, we currently have two options:

  1. Continue where you left off
  2. Open the home page

Please could we add a third option:

  1. Open blank page

If this third option is selected then, on startup, a blank page is display and - if the address bar is visible - then the address bar has focus (so a user can immediately start typing or paste in the desired address).

You can create a profile and set home page URL to about:blank

Thanks for the reply, yeah, I have been setting the home page URL to a blank space (“ “) which works in a similar way - possibly even cleaner than “about:blank” as there is nothing in the address bar.

It would still be really nice if the address bar has focus in this scenario though.

I am so used to Chrome where you can open a new tab (or window) and just start typing in the address bar immediately
