Hi WebCatalog Team,
I’m using Discord inside WebCatalog and really appreciate the clean experience. However, I’ve noticed that when performing basic activities like adding friends or sending messages, I’m frequently asked to complete captchas—much more often than when I use Discord on mobile.
On mobile, Discord rarely shows captchas and mostly relies on simple confirmations. But in WebCatalog, even with minimal activity, captchas appear constantly.
I suspect this might be due to browser fingerprinting, user-agent detection, or how WebCatalog handles sessions, cookies, or headers. I’d like to know if there are ways to reduce or bypass these frequent captcha prompts while staying within Discord’s acceptable use.
Here’s what I’m hoping to get help with:
• Can I modify the user-agent in WebCatalog to mimic a regular Chrome browser or even a mobile device?
• Does WebCatalog support persistent cookies or session storage like standard browsers?
• Is it possible to use a trusted mobile view or mobile emulation within WebCatalog for Discord?
• Could I be triggering these captchas due to the way WebCatalog is detected as an Electron app?
• Are there any recommended settings or workarounds you suggest to make Discord usage smoother and more trusted inside WebCatalog?
Any help, guidance, or configuration tips would be really appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
Best,
Mike Luke
