I am trying to create a custom app out of https://app.big-agi.com/ on the latest desktop version, but it silently fails to add it to the dashboard or my list. I then tried another site (a fandom wiki), and it also silently failed (brief ‘loading’ spinner, then no appearance on the Dashboard or app list). The app does not appear in my Library, either. I am suspecting that creating custom apps is globally broken on the latest release (and was in the last several releases I tried).
The ability to add custom apps to the WebCatalog ecosystem is the main thing keeping me on this app instead of simply installing PWAs in my browser. Otherwise I cannot justify spending money on WebCatalog if this feature is broken.
I emphatically do not want to rely on requesting individual apps be added to the public list, especially since I may want to make custom apps of locally hosted servers.
UPDATE: I was able to add a random Github page as a custom app, but not several websites I use. Something may be wacky about permissions that I cannot identify as the end-user.
EDIT 2: I just installed Singlebox, and in Singlebox, I was able to install the site in question ( big-AGI ) without ANY issues.
